Agent Spotlight: Keith Listermann
Introducing Keith Listermann, a real estate agent from the Baird & Warner Plainfield office with over 7 years of experience. Keith's professional journey began in technical engineering, sales management and operations, and, of course, eventually led to real estate.
As an agent, Keith prefers to be on the sales side of things, but he admits that there's a certain satisfaction to helping buyers find their dream home. At Baird & Warner, Keith appreciates the efforts his office takes to keep agents engaged. "It is a tough business to keep people engaged with the office, but the Plainfield office does a great job of providing training opportunities," says Keith.
Outside of work, Keith is passionate about the outdoors. He appreciates living near Plainfield for this reason, as the area is surrounded by scenic hiking areas like Lake Renwick, Ohara Woods, and several forest preserves. He also spends time volunteering with local forest conservation efforts.

What is your background? Have you always been a real estate agent? If no, please explain.
I've been a technical engineer, sales manager, operations manager and worked in real estate.
How many years have you been a real estate agent and why do you enjoy being one?
I've been an agent for 7 years.
What is a meaningful real estate experience you've had with a buyer or seller?
As much as I prefer the selling side, there is something very special in seeing a buyer find the one.
What's one piece of advice that you can share with other real estate agents?
A little patience goes a long way.
What do you think is the key to a successful real estate business?
The good communicators are still the most successful. They use technology as a tool to assist them, but you have to have a foundation of good communication.
What is something you like about Baird & Warner and/your Baird & Warner office?
It is a tough business to keep people engaged with the office, but the Plainfield office does a great job of providing training opportunities. Also, I think it is very welcoming with assistance when needed.
What is one of your favorite local restaurants and why?
I actually eat at home most of the time — my wife is a great cook. I do enjoy Texas Roadhouse. No menu is needed, I love the medallions.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy gardening, hiking, playing games with the family, puzzles and volunteering with the forest preserves and conservation groups. I also do like video games.
What do you enjoy about living in your town?
O'hara woods offers beautiful walks year round with a unique and diverse habitat with lots of wildlife. Great place to enjoy a summer concert. Also, the fireworks do not disappoint.
