Agent Spotlight: Taylor Flood
Meet Taylor Floor, a real estate agent from the Baird & Warner Plainfield office. Taylor's journey to real estate began after spending 12 years as a dental hygienist. "I love being able to guide clients and their families in the right direction in such a big step in their lives," says Taylor, whose work as an agent is informed by her time spent as a dental hygienist. "As a hygienist, I did a lot of educating as well as learning new things myself as the field changed — I find myself doing the same as a real estate agent."
With over two years of experience in real estate, she's found her passion in guiding clients through one of the biggest decisions of their lives — buying or selling a home. She prides herself on making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible, and her commitment to education and her community is at the heart of her success.
Whether she's guiding a first-time homebuyer through the process or helping a family find the perfect home to grow in, Taylor is always focused on her client's goals. One of her most memorable moments came when she helped a family friend find their dream ranch home — even when they weren't actively looking! Taylor's ability to spot opportunities and go the extra mile made it possible for them to turn their dream into reality.
Outside of real estate, Taylor enjoys exploring the outdoors, camping and spending time with her two young children and husband. A lover of fitness and healthy living, she also finds joy and creativity in creating new healthy recipes. Living in Plainfield, Taylor appreciates the family-friendly activities, beautiful parks and vibrant local restaurants — with Krema Coffee being her favorite stop for a caffeine fix.

What is your background? Have you always been a real estate agent? If no, please explain.
Before real estate, I worked as a dental hygienist for 12 years.
How many years have you been a real estate agent and why do you enjoy being one?
I've been an agent for a little over 2 years! As a hygienist, I did a lot of educating as well as learning new things myself as the field changed — I find myself doing the same as a real estate agent. I love being able to guide clients and their families in the right direction in such a big step in their lives. Making things as stress-free for my clients as possible is my goal!
What is a meaningful real estate experience you've had with a buyer or seller?
One that comes to mind was a recent experience with a family friend. They were not actively looking and had just had their second child, but I knew that in the future, they were hoping for a ranch home with some land. I happened to come across a listing and sent it to them just for fun! They called me to look at it and the next thing you know, we are under contract and listing their starter home.
Their dream was to have space for their kids to run around and play. They wanted to be able to look out the kitchen window and not see or hear the highway, but the kids running and swinging on the play set! That is exactly what we made happen and they were so thankful! It made me so happy to be a part of that for them!
What's one piece of advice that you can share with other real estate agents?
Trust in yourself and keep going.
What do you think is the key to a successful real estate business?
I have two answers — being able to adapt to changes and being part of your community. You should always be willing to learn and work.
What is something you like about Baird & Warner and/your Baird & Warner office?
We feel like a family and everyone is so helpful to each other! We are always planning ways to help the community and it is a great thing to be a part of.
What is one of your favorite local restaurants and why?
Krema Coffee because I can't live without my coffee and their food is fresh and delicious. I love walking downtown, grabbing a coffee and taking my kids to the park.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I have been married for almost seven years and have two kids who are four and five years old. I enjoy taking them on camping trips, biking, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I have a passion for health & fitness and making new healthy recipes.
What do you enjoy about living in your town?
I love living in Plainfield because there is always something to do, great restaurants, parks and activities for the kids!
