Agent Spotlight: Sandy Mueller

Sandy Mueller is Building on a Legacy of Success
If there's one thing that Sandy Mueller knows, it's how to make things picture-perfect. She currently boasts 20 years of experience as a second-generation real estate broker, but her career first began as a retoucher for photo studios, working on commercial photography and wedding portraiture.
When Sandy's mother, Flo Hoffman, asked her to join the real estate business, she jumped at the opportunity. Flo was a veteran realtor with Baird & Warner for over 30 years, and she must have known how well Sandy's background in the graphic arts, photography, commercial printing and sales would translate to real estate.
Sandy grew up and lived in Des Plaines, IL, for 22 years, spent the next 32 years in Elk Grove Village and now lives in Elgin, IL on an acre of land. As a lifelong resident of the Northwest Suburban area, she has extensive knowledge of and a genuine love for the area she serves.

What is a memorable real estate experience you've had with a buyer or seller?
I had some clients, Kelli and Chris, who were looking to both sell their home and buy another home within the same small area. The buying process was challenging as there was no inventory, but we were able to make it work in a few ways.
First, we were able to find a buyer in our private listing network who allowed my clients to rent back for a few months to give them more time. Next, the home of their dreams came on the market in private inventory and we had to move quickly. Because we were very proactive with pre-approval, inspections and no other contingencies, it was an amazing experience for my clients.
What's one piece of advice that you can share with other real estate agents?
Always continue to learn! This is not just a job — you're helping people make a huge life decision.
What do you think is the key to a successful real estate business?
Working from the heart, listening to my client's needs and preparing for success.
I really believe buyers and sellers trust my experience and enthusiasm. Whether my clients are short sales, first-time buyers, moving cross-country or moving into an assisted living center, I am able to see the big picture and help them with the process.
What is something you like about Baird & Warner and/or your Baird & Warner office?
Baird & Warner is an amazing company! From being in business since 1855 to being on the cutting edge of technology today to assist their agents and clients — it's invaluable for me as a broker. I'm so happy to have an independent, family-owned company on my team. The Northwest Suburban office is centrally located for me and the dozens of offices scattered across Chicagoland allow me to meet my clients almost anywhere.
What is one of your favorite local restaurants and why?
Seasons 52 is one of my favorite restaurants bringing seasonal dishes to the table. We also love Chicago Prime for a nice dining experience!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Nothing — Vince, my business partner, always tells me to get to work! But actually, I have been enjoying my new ranch home and cooking meals for my husband and family. We like to travel in the summer and winter months and are in the process of planning a family reunion.
