'A Christmas Carol' at the Goodman Theatre - Chicago, IL

From November 15 to December 31, A Christmas Carol returns to the Goodman Theatre, a storied venue in the Chicago Loop. Arguably Chicago's most beloved holiday tradition, The Christkindlmarket will be back at Daley Plaza from November 21 to December 14. This festive, German-inspired holiday market offers a wide range of holiday experiences, including:

• Costumed actors in traditional garb
• Live performances ranging from brass bands to ballet

In addition to the main Chicago location, there will also be satellite Christkindlmarkets in Aurora and Wrigleyville.

A full season of festive happenings in the suburb of Brookfield, Holiday Magic at the Brookfield Zoo is a tradition stretching back 40 years. This year, the zoo will once again be transformed into a winter wonderland with 3.5 million lights. The season of festivities begins on November 20 with Zoo After Dark: Holiday Sip & Stroll, during which attendees can sip seasonal cocktails and see the lights before the display opens up to the general public.

Millennium Park Holiday Sing-Along - Chicago, IL

Sometimes referred to as "Caroling at Cloud Gate," the annual Millennium Park Holiday Sing-Along series invites Chicagoans to bundle up and join in with various local choral groups as they bring classic holiday songs to life. Taking place in front of the iconic Cloud Gate sculpture in Millennium Park, these events truly create a feeling of togetherness during the holiday season. The 2025 schedule includes sing-alongs on the following dates at 6 pm:
