The park also hosts the weekly Millennium Park Summer Film Series throughout July and August. Each Tuesday evening, movies are screened at the park's Jay Pritzker Pavilion beneath the backdrop of the downtown Chicago skyline. Located in the Fulton Market District of Chicago's West Loop neighborhood, the rooftop cinema shows multiple classic movies nearly every day through September 1. All summer long, Movies in the Parks transforms public parks all over Chicagoland into outdoor movie theaters. Showing a broad assortment of Hollywood classics and recent blockbusters, Movies in the Parks offer dozens of opportunities to experience the big-screen experience under the stars. Movies begin at dusk, and moviegoers are welcome to bring food and drinks as well as picnic blankets and lawn chairs. Screenings take place at different parks each week in neighborhoods ranging from Wicker Park to River North—multiple options are often available on the same night, so be sure to consult the complete 2025 schedule for details. - ChiTown Drive In - 2343 S Throop St, Chicago, IL 60608
A classic drive-in movie experience is available at ChiTown Drive In, an old-fashioned outdoor theater in the Pilsen neighborhood on Chicago's Lower West Side. ChiTown Drive In shows movies every Thursday through Sunday nights, often as double features with back-to-back movies at eight and 10:30 pm. Schedules vary, so be sure to check online. Attendees can watch from their vehicles in front of the screen, and concessions are delivered right to their cars.
