That includes Fireworks at Navy Pier on July 2 at 9 p.m. and on July 5 at 10 p.m. There are great views from the Riverwalk and any of the parks and beaches that extend along the waterfront.

    Now in its 17th year, the annual Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks is one of the best Independence Day celebrations in the Northern Chicago Suburbs. Starting at 5 p.m. on July 4, the festival includes live music and entertainment, a wide range of kids' activities and games, plus vendors offering tasty food and beverages. Attendees are also welcome to bring food and drinks, along with lawn chairs and picnic blankets, to the festival location at Deer Path Community Park in Lake Forest. Fireworks will cap off the festivities, ending at 10 p.m..

  • Naperville Community Fireworks Show - 3380 Cedar Glade Rd, Naperville, IL 60564
    A vibrant community in Chicago's Western Suburbs, Naperville hosts its own Fourth of July extravaganza every summer. The Naperville Community Fireworks Show takes to the skies above the Frontier Sports Complex at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, and attendees can enjoy great views from the park itself and the surrounding areas. The fireworks will be preceded by a performance by the Naperville Municipal Band under the Wagner Pavilion within the Frontier Sports Complex. Additional parking for the concert and fireworks is available at the neighboring Neuqua Valley High School.

  • Evanston Fourth of July Celebration - 1647 Sheridan Rd, Evanston, IL 60201
    Home to Northwestern University, Evanston is a charming Chicago suburb overlooking Lake Michigan just a few miles north of the city. It's a perfect backdrop to one of the best fireworks displays in Chicagoland: the Evanston Fourth of July Celebration. After a band concert from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Arrington Lakefront Lagoon at Dawes Park, the fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. from the boat launch adjacent to Clark Street Beach. Arrive early for the Fourth of July Parade, which starts at Central Park Avenue at 2 p.m. and travels east on Central Street toward Ryan Field.

  • Aurora Fourth of July Fireworks - 150 W Illinois Ave, Aurora, IL 60506
    The city of Aurora, located along the Fox River and part of the Western Suburbs of Chicago, offers a free fireworks show to commemorate Independence Day. The Aurora Fourth of July Fireworks take place on Thursday, July 3, over Downtown Aurora. Some of the best views of the display can be found at Aurora Transportation Center and McCullough Park, and there will also be live DJs and food trucks at both locations.
