Those summer smells can really transport you to another time and place. While you can open up the windows and try to conjure up all of your favorite scents, there are ways to bring them into your home so they blend with the season. Sweet pea, wildflowers, fresh cut grass and eucalyptus are all popular and pleasing smells. Luckily there are usually a variety of air fresheners and candles that sport these outdoorsy fragrances bottled for your convenience. Spritzing a few puffs of "Country Clothesline" air mist into your living room fan is a great way to diffuse the wisps of fresh linen the same way a springtime breeze would — dandelion free. If you want to have a constant flow of fragrance, most stores carry plug-ins that emits the scent on a timer. Candles are another good way to spread the summertime cheer around the inside of your home. If you aren't sure of which scents correspond with the season, a good way to cheat is to look for what the stores have placed closest to the entrance. When in doubt, cherry blossoms and violets are always a welcome treat. If allergies aren't an issue for you, try bringing the flowers indoors. Lily of the Valley, honeysuckle and roses are great this time of year, and you can find them at many local florists. You can also create your own container garden to keep the plants in your home blooming throughout the year.
