Organize Your Refrigerator
It's happened to all of us at one point. You go into your fridge to dig around for that cup of Greek yogurt and something fuzzy is lurking in the back — you can smell it. Refrigerators can only keep your food fresh for so long, and if your fridge is disorganized, there's a good chance that some food can get lost in the mix. You can keep those moldy peaches and half-eaten spaghetti leftovers from tainting the cleanliness of your fridge by using a few organization tools. Start using containers with labels keep everything from getting mixed up. Putting your foods into easily definable categories may feel a little overbearing, but organizing your food by dairy, condiments, vegetables and meat will also let you know when you run out of something. We all tend to grab whatever food is at the front of the fridge and often forget about that sandwich in the back. So, reverse the cycle and place older food at the front and your newer food at the back. By switching it up, you won't forget about the food you stored away a few weeks ago. Invest in a dry erase board for the front or side of your refrigerator. When you're out of something, add it to the list! This will do wonders for your grocery inventory, as well as keep your costs down from having to run out every time you notice one thing is missing.
