I have been a part of the Oak Park area community since 1993 and have lived in Westchester with my family for the past 14 years.  I am a graduate of Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Elmhurst College, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in California. I have degrees in history and theatre, and worked professionally as an actor for many years.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my dogs, working in my gardens, and traveling.

When I first became a Realtor in 2003, I anticipated it to be a short-term job until something better came along.  Almost immediately, however, I discovered real estate was the better thing to come along in my life.  I discovered I had the ability to make a huge impact on people’s lives by guiding them through one of life’s most important decisions – buying or selling a home.  Having moved 20 times in my life, I instinctively understand the excitement and the fears that come on this journey for both adults and children.  I can translate my personal experiences into educating my clients and make the journey an educational and pleasurable experience for you.  Additionally, having lived in the LaGrange and Oak Park areas, living in Westchester, and having family and friends throughout the Near West suburbs, I am knowledgeable of many of our wonderful communities and am comfortable and confident working in them.  As part of Baird & Warner's Relocation Team, having this broad knowledge of the area has been very beneficial to my local and out of state buyer clients.

Having a background in the arts and history has created the perfect fit for working with my seller clients.  To sell a home well is to tell the home's story and help the future buyer envision that the story will continue with them in it.  I am able to incorporate my story-telling skills along with my knowledge of the local inventory to create a competitive marketing strategy that gets my clients' homes sold sooner and for a higher price than the local averages.

I am very proud to be part of the Baird & Warner family.  Over the years, I have met some extraordinary people and sold some beautiful homes, too. Yes, this business is about houses and contracts and negotiations, but at its core, it is a business about people and relationships. That is what I love about real estate. Helping sellers pass their home onto the next generation. Assisting buyers in finding the right home for their current and future needs. Real estate is about creating a foundation on which to grow and advancing your life to the next level.

Thank you for visiting my website and I look forward to working with you in the near future and taking you on an incredible journey!

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the 20 places I have lived, here’s the list: Bellevue, Nebraska; Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Charleston, and Albion, Illinois; Skowhegan and Norridgewock, Maine; Rockville Centre, New York; Indian Head Park, Illinois (twice); Peoria, Illinois; Pasadena, California (twice); Oak Park, Illinois (twice); Forest Park and Chicago, Illinois; Emeryville and Napa, California; and finally, Westchester, Illinois!  Whew!

"Bethanny was an excellent realtor, the best I have had in all of my purchasing of real estate adventures.
She was competent and thoughtful, always answering in great detail any question that I had and with
a quick response. With a lot of thoughtful and informational questions, she got to know quickly who
I was, what I was really looking for, and the details and sensibility of the home that I needed. I felt as
though I was working with a friend who understood me She made my tedious out-of-state search seem fluid and
effortless, and was not aggressive but pleasantly persistent in her style as a realtor. I could always
depend on her to respond to me in a timely manner and with more information than I even expected.
What a great experience with a top notch realtor who found me a place to live in the Chicago area that went beyond
my expectations! Thanks Bethanny!"

"Phenomenal! Had an incredible depth of knowledge and expertise of the market and the house hunting process in general. Very in tune with what we were looking for in terms of price, look and feel, and location. Very honest. Could not say more wonderful things."

"We bought our first home (a condo in Forest Park) over 13 years ago and have kept in touch since then. There was no question as to who we would use to when we decided to buy again. Bethanny is attentive to her clients, knowledgable, and respectful to the needs and wants of her clients. She helped widen our scope and encouraged us through two rejected offers on other homes before we found the right one. She was able to give great recommendations for other services needed. I highly recommend Bethanny for all your housing needs."

"Bethanny showed us a condo in the River Forest area. She was very knowledgable about the area and the history of the condo/owners. She was on time and responded quickly to all forms of communication."

"We have been living in our new home for about a month and love it! We had a few setbacks initially seeing/bidding on properties that ultimately did not pan out as might be expected when house hunting. Fortunately, Bethanny was there to help us as first time buyers to navigate decision making with welcomed advice. She is patient, professional, and punctual--three things I expect and seek out when working with someone. To that end, it felt very much like a collaboration wherein Bethanny asked for our input and offered hers when asked, and more importantly, when we did not know what or when to ask. We could not speak well enough about her and her professionalism. I highly recommend seeking out Bethanny should you be in the market for a new home or property."
