Johnny Mars

Johnny Mars has spent over 30 years playing music on the radio. His passion for music began at an early age. When he decided radio was going to be his career path, he set out with a fierce determination to gain employment at the station he loved most, WXRT 93.1 and was hired when he was 22 years old. He still loves radio and works part-time at WXRT, Sundays from 10-3 and fill-ins when needed.

Johnny has been employed in the real estate industry since 2003, briefly as a leasing agent, then as a rental listing consultant. Over the years he has honed his skills by taking time to meet owners, appraise their property and get it listed at the most appropriate price point in the ever-changing Chicago rental market.  After almost a decade serving the needs of owners on the rental market, the time is right to make another transition to residential real estate. With a tireless commitment to service, Johnny will be happy to steer you through the journey of finding and buying the perfect home for your needs. He will be your most loyal advocate for getting your property on the market and positioned to move quickly. When performing on the radio, attention to detail and focus is critical (along with having something to say and a good ear for listening) and having that ability as part of both his careers will create a strong ally who will strive to fulfill your needs.

As a lifelong Chicagoan and graduate of Lane Tech and Columbia College, Johnny has lived in and loved many areas of the city. From Lakeview to Lincoln Park, Bucktown, Wicker Park, River West, Logan Square, and most currently Edgebrook, Johnny knows the city cold.
