Michelle Schoen decided to make real estate her career choice, because she loves working with people, enjoys the process of helping them find that perfect home, and loves advising them from start to finish. Currently residing with her family in Glenview, she is a native of Chicagoland, having grown up in Gurnee and attending Warren Township H.S. After high school, Michelle attended Oakton, DePaul, Jagiellonian University in Poland, and The University of Arizona. Her range of studies include Political Science, Law, International Law, Business and Finance, and Real Estate.
In her working life prior to beginning her real estate practice, Michelle Schoen has been everything from a Stay at home mom to HR manager to Sales Consultant to CEO. This wide-ranging experience serves her clients well and can help her see all levels and aspects of their needs and oversee every step of the transaction process.
Why did Michelle choose to run her practice out of the Baird & Warner Glenbrook office? “I have friends and family who work for Baird & Warner and absolutely love it. The attentiveness to client needs is astounding. It's a well-run organization that helps brokers succeed.” Baird & Warner is a Top 20 brokerage in the United States and yet is still a family-owned company with a history going back to 1855. This combination gives Michelle all the tools and resources to effectively sell clients’ homes and help them find new ones while also making sure that her clients are more than line items on some corporations’ spreadsheets.
Described as strong-willed, outgoing, organized, a problem solver, compassionate, cooperative, and adaptable, Michelle Schoen covers the North Shore area of Chicagoland and surrounding communities including: Glenview, Northbrook, Northfield, Golf, Winnetka, Wilmette, Deerfield, Highland Park, Buffalo Grove, Niles, Skokie, Morton Grove, Evanston, Deerfield, Vernon Hills, Libertyville, Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Mount Prospect. When asked what her business goals are, Michelle answers, “I want to be able to help as many people find their dream home as I can.”
Ms. Schoen volunteers at Feed My Starving Children and Bernie's Book Bank. She also volunteers at her son’s school on the social committee and for school events, and she has served as the annual Giving Chair in 2018 and 2019.
When not doing business, you will find Michelle playing tennis at Five Seasons in Northbrook, running half and full marathons, biking, kayaking, hiking, swimming, or cooking and baking. Her favorite activities are reading Harry Potter and playing with legos or doing outdoor activities with her son and family dog. She is a fan of all Chicago sports teams, especially the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks.
