“When getting help with money, whether it’s insurance, real estate, or investments you should always look for a person with the heart of a teacher, not the heart of a salesperson.” As a former elementary school teacher, Emily has exactly that type of heart. A very challenging first home purchase led to what teachers affectionately refer to as a ‘light-bulb moment’ when she realized that she could utilize her Master in Education to help make the home-buying & selling processes easier to navigate & understand for her clients, friends and family. Much like students in a classroom, each and every real estate process is individual, unique and requires a different strategy to ensure a successful outcome. They also require a genuine understanding of all the various aspects of the business such as contracts, inspections, negotiations, lending & so many more. Years of experience have allowed her to not only hone her own skill-set but has also allowed her to build up a fantastic network of referrals from lenders to painters (and everything in between!) Her goal has always been to make the process as easy, seamless & fun as possible for her clients who she cares about so much. Raised in the western suburbs, but a bonafide ‘city girl’ since 2007, Emily navigates both the city and suburban markets with ease. Her background as an educator allows her to bring an even higher level of understanding of different school districts & allow her clients to find their ideal homes in areas with fantastic schools. When she’s not advocating for her clients, you’ll find her on the sidelines at one of her five-year-old son, Jayden’s, sporting events, volunteering for the Welles Park Parents Association or the Chicago Help Initiative, taking their rescue dog, Trunks, to a dog park, working out, binging guilty-pleasure shows or curled up with a good book.
