In 2008, I morphed into a real estate broker after spending over 20 years as an intellectual property legal recruiter. I found many skills carried over to my new adventure- including providing honest information to various parties in order for them to make educated decisions for their lives. Since buying and selling a home is a major part of most people's financial decisions in their lives, I make every effort to help clients better understand all their options and the potential consequences of each choice.
I believe I entered this field at the best time to learn about the tougher requirements and processes for buying and selling in a challenging market. I have learned how to market homes more successfully and help buyers finance homes more economically with new programs. I have also developed techniques to better help clients negotiate prices for homes.
My first territory was Hyde Park and the larger radius around it on the South side of the city. I have now learned the South Loop and Near North areas of the city as well. I actually enjoy investigating new areas and helping clients discover the best areas for their needs.
My children are now independently focused on their own paths for life- one in international broadcast communications in the Middle East and one in the US Naval Academy. So I rarely see either and enjoy filling my time with the needs of my clients! My goal is to make every client feel like they are my only one!
