Kathi has been a full time Realtor for the last 20 years. She began with an emphasis on first time home buyers and baby boomer relocations. Because of the change in the real estate market, Kathi recently has received her designation as a CPDE (certified property distress expert), helping those who are in the need of short sale advice and procedure. Rentals in the area are fast becoming a more immediate need for her clients, so becoming accustomed to listing rentals and finding the most qualified renters for her listings have also become a focus in this ever changing and sometime frightening real estate market.
Raised in Texas and married to a Canadian, Kathi has lived in many places in the United States and Canada. Luckily, yet another job transfer for Kathi’s husband landed the Knight family in the South Suburbs over 20 years ago, and has loved every minute of it! Active in her now grown children’s lives and now 5 grandchildren, she has volunteered for all aspects of their education process as well as sports in which they participated. Kathi is a commissioner for the Community Relations Commission in Homewood, Illinois. This volunteer position plans and runs the many free events that are held in Homewood for the residents and their families. A voracious reader, a food network junkie, scrabble player and Texas Hold ‘Em devotee, Kathi tries to balance a full time real estate career, a 42 year marriage, and time with her friends and family..
