A Good Year for Good Will: How We Gave Back in 2018

We wouldn’t be where we are without the Chicagoland communities where we do business, and we support organizations in those communities that help shelter our neighbors. In 2018, people across our entire company donated their time and their dollars to organizations doing good in our communities all over Chicagoland. It’s not just good business. It’s in our DNA.

Check out the Good Will Network’s 2018 Annual Report.

Through our Good Will Network agents, loan officers, and employees volunteered around a thousand hours at charitable organizations like Housing Opportunities for Women in Chicago, Beds Plus Care in La Grange, and Housing Forward in Oak Park. Each of our 30 offices around Chicagoland organized fundraisers, held food and clothing drives, or rolled up their sleeves to help maintain facilities at organizations supporting the homeless in their neighborhoods.

Dozens of Baird & Warner agents and employees joined 5,000 other volunteers in June for Chicago’s largest day of service, Chicago Cares’ Serve-a-thon. Our people spent the day refurbishing a high school. Our Good Will Network donated over $200,000 in 2018 through campaigns like $24K of Solid Good, which awarded five $24,000 grants to Chicagoland nonprofits. And the GWN matched over $25,000 in contributions from agents, loan officers, and employees in the Baird & Warner family. All part of the $2.4 million the Good Will Network has donated since it was founded in 2002.

Over 163 years, we’ve grown with — and because of — the communities we give back to. And so will our support for them.
