Northwest Suburban Office’s Project Recognizes Those Who Serve the Community

Inspired by the idea of kindness among strangers, the Baird & Warner Northwest Suburban office decided to pioneer their own effort to give back to the community. This past Nov., more than 70 broker associates participated in the “Pay It Forward Project,” created and lead by Penny Sirott, director of sales development.

Penny organized everyone into nine teams, each responsible for creating and delivering heartfelt gift baskets to several senior centers and fire and police departments in the area. Some teams filled their baskets with fruit, popcorn, Fannie Mae candy, cocoa, apple cider and other snacks, while other teams ordered giant personalized cookies, decorated with expressions of thanks and gratitude.

“It was a great feeling to deliver packages face-to-face to those who service our community and who are not always recognized for their efforts,” said a participating broker associate. “One of the police officers had tears in his eyes…these types of initiatives in our communities make me proud to be part of the Baird & Warner team.”
