Chicago Restaurant Week kicks off next Friday, a two-week long dining event presented by Choose Chicago. From January 24 through February 6, more than 280 participating restaurants throughout the city and surrounding suburbs will present pre-fixed menus for lunch or dinner. Whether you are an avid foodie or a casual diner looking to have an affordable meal, this event is the perfect way to spend a date night with a significant other or a night out with your friends.
Every year, participating restaurants offer a set menu that best captures the culinary style of the establishment. Most menus include an appetizer or starter, a main course and dessert. Lunch is priced at $22 while dinner is priced at either $33 or $44, depending on the restaurant.
Once only a one-week event, last year’s Restaurant Week was so successful that the city expanded it to two weeks.
If you are interested in participating in the festivities, you can do so by simply making a reservation at your restaurant of choice. A full list of participating eateries and their pre-fixed menus can be found on the Chicago Restaurant Week website. A word of advice: restaurants book up fast, so be sure to make your reservation sooner rather than later.
