Dear Donna:
I know this well deserved letter is a long time over due, but I have been busy with my business. That said, I could not let it go forever! Barb and I want to thank you for all your expertise and your perseverance with regard to everything you did for us in selling our home. As you know selling a home can be quite stressful, and it was particularly so in our case.
First we started selling “By Owner” with the upfront cost of $1500.00; after several months of not hearing from anyone from the program we began to think we were scammed! Anyway we decided to put our house on the market with a competitor of yours who promised everything under the sun for one third the price of a regular listing, and $500.00 up front, and after 4 months of waiting, he also didn’t deliver. At that point, barb and I were very disappointed because all of this occurred in red-hot real estate market, which we totally missed out on due to our mistakes.
After interviewing seven realtors we decided to list with you, and shortly after you brought us several strong offers and we accepted one at full listing price with no contingencies-that’s what I call performance! Further, our house was listed with you in a down market, which makes that kind of offer extraordinary.
You already know that I am embarrassed by all this because I should know better-I am in the mortgage business and like you I see many deals fall through because sellers didn’t have a professional Realtor representing them; we won’t make that mistake again.
