Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, I achieved the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America. I served as Vice President on the board of Children's Oncology Services and served as a camp counselor in their One Step At A Time Programs, and Chaired their Programs Committee. One Step At A Time provides programs for children that have cancer and leukemia. In my career in Graphic Arts, I served as the president of the Printing Industry of Illinois Association.
